Beauty Tip For The Week

“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”

Super Easy T-shirt Tote

This tote is super easy and can be used as a reusable grocery shopping bag or a simple, but cute beach bag!

You will need...
  • a T-shirt
  • scissors
  • pins
  • a ruler(or measuring tape)
  • marking pencil(I used a crayola coloring pencil)
  • a sewing machine(or a needle)
  • and color coordinating thread

First lay your T-shirt down on a flat surface.

Next, use scissors to cut the collar off of the shirt. Try to cut as close to the seam as possible.

Cut all the way around.

It should look like this...a collar-less shirt.

Then, cut the sleeves off. Again, cutting as close to the seam as possible.

So you should now have a collar-less,sleeve-less T-shirt.

Now, take your ruler (or measuring tape) and lay it across the shirt.
Make sure it's even, then use a pencil to draw a line along the ruler(or measuring tape). This line will mark the bottom of your bag - where you will sew across. So this will be the depth of your bag.

  Draw the line...

...then cut.

You should have this...

Next fold the shirt in half.

Cut an angle off of the bottom corner...

...and you'll have this.

Next, turn the T-shirt inside out,and make sure the ends are even. Pin the ends together...

...and sew along the bottom using a zig-zag stitch. Give a 1/2 inch seam allowance.

Turn it right side out, and voila! There you have it!

Now fill it up with stuff, and carry it around!

Welcome to our new blog!

Crafting forever and a day. What is it? A plan of two beautiful sisters expressing themselves in their work, and also encouraging young women to do their best in life, and let God handle the rest. We plan to make this a fun way for a young woman to learn more about God, modesty, and her inner crafty self.
